Q: What is a bang?
A: A bang is a collaborative project between a writer and an artist, with a set deadline to adhere to.
Q: What is the main mode of communication?
A: All writers and artists are expected to join our Discord server. The main mode of communication will be via Discord.
Q: Will there be pinch hitters?
A: Yes, you may sign up as a pinch hitter for either fic or art! You will receive the appropriate Discord role and be pinged when there is a pinch hit available. You are not obliged to claim a pinch hit even if you sign up.
Q: Is there a language restriction?
A: As this event is open to fans of all nationalities/cultures, all fics and communication should be done in English.
Q: Can we be paid for this?
A: Collaboration posts and posted works must not solicit financial gain (Patreon, Ko-Fi, etc.).
This is against AO3’s Terms of Service.
Q: Will minors be allowed to participate? If they are allowed can artists/authors/betas choose not to work with them?
A: Yes, minors are allowed to participate. There will be an option on the claims form to indicate if you are a minor/adult, and if you are comfortable working with a minor/adult. Minors will not be allowed to collaborate on NSFW pieces.
Q: Will there be an extension available for those who has asked?
A: Yes, extension will be available to those who request it.
Q: Are sequels or prequels allowed?
A: Yes, as long as the work you submit is new and never published before, and can be standalone from connected stories.
Q: Is it possible to submit a series of connected stories?
A: Yeas, writers are allowed to submit multiple stories as one entry as long as they are connected and are at least 4k overall.
Q: What kinds of art are allowed?
A: We welcome all types of art, including, but not limited to digital and traditional art, paintings, food art, edits, mood boards, or cross stitching.
